Acceptance of Terms
By using Grith, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Description of Service
Grith is a local-first journaling and reflection app that provides:
- optional AI-guided reflection for personal growth and wellbeing
- journaling tools for mood tracking and personal reflection
- progress tracking and reflective insights from your activity
- crisis-support and helpline resources
Not Professional Advice
Grith is not professional, medical, or emergency support and is not a replacement for licensed professional care. The app is designed for personal reflection and day-to-day support.
If you are in immediate danger or may harm yourself or others, contact local emergency services, the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline in the United States, or a qualified professional.
Device Access and Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- access to the device where you use the app
- any optional PIN or device-level security you enable
- providing accurate information in optional profile and onboarding fields
- activity performed from this device while using the app
- using the app only for lawful purposes
You must be at least 17 years old to use Grith.
User Content
- You retain ownership of journal entries, chats, and other content you create.
- You grant us and our service providers a limited license to process that content only to operate the features you request, including optional AI features.
- You may not post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or violates others' rights.
- We may limit or suspend access to online features if content or conduct violates these Terms.
AI Services
- Grith offers optional AI features for guided reflection and journal analysis.
- AI responses are generated automatically and may be inaccurate or inappropriate.
- AI-generated content is not professional advice.
- If you choose to use AI features, some content and optional context may be sent to our servers and AI service providers for processing.
- We may show crisis-support resources and withhold normal AI analysis when obvious high-risk self-harm or harm-to-others text is detected.
- We are not responsible for decisions you make based on AI-generated content.
Subscriptions and App Store Purchases
- Some features require an active subscription.
- If you purchase through Apple's App Store, billing, renewals, and cancellation are handled through your Apple account and App Store settings.
- Auto-renewable subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel through your App Store subscription settings.
- Pricing, trial availability, billing period, and renewal terms shown at purchase time control that purchase.
- You can restore eligible purchases from within the app.
- Unless a different custom license is presented in App Store Connect, App Store downloads are also subject to Apple's standard licensed application terms.
Privacy
Your use of the app is also governed by the Privacy Policy.
Intellectual Property
The app and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Dmitry Selenya (operating as Grith) and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the app except as permitted by law.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Grith is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or similar damages arising from use of the app.
Disclaimers
- The app is provided "as is" and "as available".
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free operation.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of app content.
Suspension and Termination
We may limit or suspend access to the app or its online features if we reasonably believe conduct violates these Terms or threatens users, us, or third parties.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
